December 19, 1874 The Rockford Register is responsible for the following: A young man, named Atkins, was locked up in the West side caboose Saturday night, for drunkenness, but happening to lean against one of the walls, fell out. -- He was captured againa and put in jail, where he remained until Monday, when he was fined, worked it out on the streets. - Friday he was in the jail, examining it out of curiousity.
