    3. I have the information! I was looking for Levi Dietrich's civil war information and the closest we came were records that ended with him dead in Andersonville Prison. I now believe he was Levi Ditter (appears with atht name on a couple of census ) and that he served from Aug 29, 1861 until Sept 3, 1864. have the company muster rolls roe him serving in Co. C,21 and then in Co. D, 98th PA. My "cousin" also sent several photo pages of Levi and Lydia trying to get a war disability pension and then laterLydis proving she was married to Levi to get a widow pension. It is such a shame that a man who served so faithfully throughout the whole war and then when "broken " and unable to function the rest of his life or for his wife to get assistance after his death couldn't get the help. I wonder why he decided to abandon the spelling of his name. Perhaps it was a readin' and writin' problem but it makes it difficult to trace his line.
