Biographical Album 1886 by Chapman Bros. Chicago, IL... I will add some from the bio., and then I will forward it to Roger Cramer so he can post it at the Ogle County site biography section. Rev. Barton H. Cartwright born in Alburn, NY. on March 9, 1810 he was the son of James Cartwright and Catherine Gray. His father was a Baptist Minister of New York and died in 1822. He married Miss Chloe J. Benedict daughter of Stephen Benedict the ceremony was performed in Ogle Co., ILL. on April 10, 1839. Chloe's father died when she was young and her mother remarried to James Clark who came to Ogle County, ILL. in 1835. His children were eight total 4 sons / 4 daughters, six of which were living in 1886: 1. Ellen Cartwright married Frank W. March of Taylor Twp., Ogle Co. 2. James H. Cartwright married Hattie Holmes in Ogle Co., ILL. and is a Attourney in Oregon, OC., ILL. 3. Charles B. Cartwright is single andlives in Montana 4. Orville Cartwright married Mary Russell and live in the State of Oregon. 5. Clara Cartwright died age 4. 6. Imogene Cartwright died age 1 7. Alfred Cartwright is single and living at Quincy, ILL. 8. Emily Cartwright the youngest also resides in Quincy, ILL. The bio. is a five page scan, so it may take a few days to get that to Roger Cramer...
