Also, he was involved in an incident in which he along with 110 men shot two "bad guys" The 111 men were brought to trial for murder. All were acquitted. That article can be found in the Illinois State Genealogical Society Vol. 28, No. 4 Winter 1996. I don't have that copy maybe you can contact the Ogle Gen Soc.
