Robert Colson OREGON - Robert Colson, Dixon Route 3, a retired area farmer, died Sunday evening in the Dixon Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Colson was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church in Polo. He was born Aug. 24, 1879, in Oregon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Colson. On Jan. 23, 1914, he married Gertrude Phorsheim in Chicago. Surviving are his widow; four sons, James of Dixon, Russell of Rockford, Lawrence of Park Forest, and Paul of Sterling; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ada Shockney of Chicago. he was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Farrell funeral Home, Oregon. Rev. Allan Juenger, pastor of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Lena, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oregon. Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m tonight.
