Joy, my Beck's came from PA. Johann George Beck, born 1738 In PA or Germany, Married Catharina Wolf June 14 1763. His Son Johann George Beck born Feb 11,1767 in Lancaster Pa, married Catherine Brenner born Nov 1777, married May 2 1797. Their son Gerhardt was born May 20, 1810 in Greencastle, Franklin Co. PA. He is the one who moved to IL. with his son William Henry and his children in the late 1860's. That's how they came to IL. William Henry had a large family. My grandmother was his daughter Lydia Belle Beck Huff. I have a lot of info on both the Beck's & Huff's. I have never connected some of the Beck's in IL. There is a William Beck that lived in Polo IL Ogle Co.. I think they are related but don't know how. I know that some of our Beck family moved to Seneca Ohio & Cedar Rapids IA. But a lot of them stayed in IL.
