He married Margaret/Mary van Lesson (1856-1933) daughter of Henry and Jennie van Lesson in Forreston, IL on Dec. 31, 1875. A search at the Ogle County Courthouse turned up nothing on their marriage. At least 9 of their children were born in/near Haldane, one being my ggrandmother, Jennie in 1882. Is there a way to find out if they were a member of one of the local churches?
