Rommereim and his wife Anna settled somewhere near Rochelle, IL in the 1870's. Johannes' brother Andrew J. Rommereim and his wife Anna also settled in the Rochelle area during the same time period. Some of Andrew's children were born in Creston, IL in the early 1880's. By the mid 1800's both families had moved to Lincoln Co., SD. I am trying to pinpoint where the families lived during their time in LEE and Ogle Counties in IL. I do not believe either families owned land, but they would have worked in farming.
