In searching the civil war burials in Illinois, I have been unable to find a record of him in the immediate counties around Ogle so far. If he was buried in Memphis I have no way to look that up. Again I suggest you write for his military records, since he was disabled he should have some type of pension record. Jim
Just for further info, here is a bit of additional info: He was in 13th Illinois Infantry, Company C, from Ogle County That may help you get the records from NARA---which I would recommend you get. I know they are kind of pricey, but probably will be worth your time and money!! Good luck!
