    3. Hello Folks: I'm trying to help a dear friend, Claudine Brant Enterline find her greatgrandfather and her grandfather's marriage license. She was told that her grandfather, Wilson V. BRANT left Perry County, PA. when but about 14 years of age [in about 1885] left Perry County, PA. to be with his father who was living in "the West". He stayed out there "in the West" with his father until he became a "man" and then returned to Perry County, PA. for a short time and then went back "West" and his bride-to-be, Catherine LEONARD followed him. They were then married "in the West". I found them living in Byron Twp., Ogle Co., Illinois on 14-Jun-1900 and they were listed as being married for 1 year. Wilson V. Brant was born about March 1875 and died on 13-Apr-1941 in an unknown Poor House around the Stanley, Chippewa Co., Wisconsin area. When Wilson V. Brant died, his son was informed by a local undertaker in Perry Co. that it would be too costly to have Wilson brought back to Perry Co., PA. to be buried and so, Wilson's son left his father's body in Wisconsin. His wife, Catherine died in Perry Co., PA. and is buried there. Anyone know if Wilson V. Brant and Catherine V. Leonard were married in or around the Ogle Co., Illinois area? THANKS so much for any help! Donna Heller Zinn of Newville, Cumberland Co., PA.

    3. Donna- On the state wide marriage index there was only one marriage between a Brant and a Leonard: Brant, Charles Leonard, Katie married 05/22/1892 license number 00001318 St Clair County That web site can be accessed at: www.cyberdriveillinois.com/GenealogyMWeb/marriagesearchservlet<http://wwwcyberdriveillinois.com/GenealogyMWeb/marriagesearchservlet> If Wilson V was really Wilson C, then this might be the right couple-he would have been 17; but this is 8 years before the 1900 census instead of 1.
