Roger, Do you happen to have any information on the Nathaniel Haynes-author of the article or George S. Kennedy mentioned in this article. Haynes, if memory serves me is buried in Jordan Cemetery in Lee Co. and is the son of Samuel Haynes and Rebecca Bechtal of Wash. Co. MD and Mt. Carroll, Carroll Co. IL. I am also looking for a Patrick Kennedyborn in Ireland and living Woosung in about 1860-70. I know Woosung is also Lee Co. but relatively close to Ogle line as well. By the way I just returned from a trip to PA and MD and found not only all the graves in Sharpsburg and Rhorersville that I wanted (Dietrick/Detrick/Detrich, Myers, Mumma, Roulette, Haynes/Haines/Hanes), but also talked to live Haynes decendents who has letters written by Susan Haynes Deitrick w/o Samuel who traveled to Ogle Co. Il in the 1840's by covered wagon. Other families who came with were Myers(Jacob,Peter and Paul), David Iler, Samuel Haynes, as well as many others. Would love to read anything you may have on info above. Thank you for all your hard work and wealth of research you have done. Are you and Sue in AZ for summer? Are you close to the fires? I pray that you are not! Looking forward to hearing from you. Jo Lyn Crofton (I live in Strphenson Co. Pearl City, IL but ancestors are mostly in Carroll Co.)
