    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Burright, Marks, Leasy, Moorhouse, Klawa Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Jh.2ADE/1055.2.1 Message Board Post: This bothers me and I have reservations for a long time about Alanson being a veteran as it appears in the picture that is a veterans medal (GAR) next to his stone. Alanson Burright's burial was listed in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Lafayette Township, date of death Sept. 9,1869 at 55 yrs( question mark is placed by the 55yrs in book). CHAPEL HILL CEMETERY, OREGON, OGLE, ILL: BURRIGHT FAMILY PLOT Milton 1815-1905 Margaret 1840-1845 David 1842-1843 Susan 1849-1872 Alanson died Sept 9, 1869 @ age 55y William (no dates) Co. A 11th PA Cavalry Milton made arrangements to have William buried in their Burright family plot. William came back from the Civil War injured by a fence post which part of it impaled William in the chest. William died 1875/76. Letters from his CW pension papers relate the transitions and the burial. See my notes... William H. pension record .....In regards to a letter from Mrs. O. Dugdale (dated April 1, 1910) re: " William Burright he died January 21, 1876 at his sister's Mrs. Elizabeth Hopkins who was then living at Monroe Center, Ill and my father (Milton) had him buried on his lot in the pleasant Hill cemetry in Lafaette twp." (I was informed there is no Pleasant Hill Cemetery not sure what this means then) Letter dated May 2, 1910...from Mrs. O. Dugdale to Mrs. Elizabeth Nulty. re William Burrights death (I thought E.Nulty & Wm got married in PA but no record could be found. I believe Wm and Mary E.C. IhIey married they had a child, Wade, born 1865 VA) Wilson, Wm's brother, stated in his letter Wm died 13 Jan 1875. Anyways...back to the point. I am still wondering if this GAR medal might be Williams. Or was Alanson involved in some kind of CW effort? There are several other BURRIGHTs listed in other groups in this cemetery, as follows: BURRIGHT Cornelius 1774-1873 Eliza J.
