Surnames: morton; davis; Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Jh.2ADE/1475 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on the deaths of Ambrose Morton (born 1813 in Maine) and his wife, Susan Davis Morton (born in 1823 in Maryland) and married March 31, 1855 in Ogle, Illinois. Family history says they "drowned in the river" when my great grandfather, William Bennett Morton (born June 28, 1857) was about 8 or 10 years old. The 1860 census shows William Bennett living with his parents in Rockvale, Ogle, Ill but the 1870 census shows William and his younger brother, Thomas, living with George W. Davis (still in Ogle but the parents are missing). Any information on them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lee
