That was its name in 1915, but I'm assuming it has changed names, or may no longer exist. According to an old newspaper article, this beach was the site of a large gathering every 4th of July. Thanks for any help you can provide! Laura

    3. In the 1940's the only beach I can remember was at Lowell Park. They closed it when the polio epidemic hit, and they realized that swimming in Rock River could kill you.
