And White Oak Cemetery is located about 1 mile out of town (Forreston) on White Oak Road.. They are different cemetries..

Then one of them appeared in two different write-ups, one saying she was buried at Hewitt and one saying she was buried at White Oak. I've come to think that these are the same cemetery but haven't found confirmation. Can someone explain this to me?
Rosetta, The cemeteries are listed on gen web. You can go to usgenweb.com and click on Illinois, the go to the interactive map and click on Ogle Co, the find the cemeteries and click on that link. Both Stillman Valley Cemetery and Mouth of Stillman Cemetery have Johnson's buried in them. Unfortunately the site only lists last names. But if you go to the cemetery pictures, you might find her. I did not see her listed. There are links to people who will do look-ups for you. Can someone do a look up for the date of death for Pauline Johnson? I only have the year. It was 1968. She is buried in Stillman Valley, Ogle Co. IL. I don't know the name of the cemetery. Frederick CARSON arrived in Stephenson County, Illinois from Germany in 1852, and settled in Ogle. He died there in 1915, buried at the Daysville Cemetery in Nashua, according to his death cert. He brought wife, Dora, with him, she died in 1859, but I cannot find any record of her anywhere. If ANYONE recognizes these names or has info on them, I would love to hear from you.

I am trying to find information on my ggrandfather who was a bound boy from NY and came to live with the Joseph O'Kane family in the 1880's. There is suppose to be a form (like an indentured servant) that Mr. O'Kane would have filled out and filed with Ogle County (polo) saying he was going to take care of him. Unable to find the name of the form, or where they might be kept at this time. GGrandfather's name was Thomas Fawcett. The O'Kanes lived in Polo and took in quite a few kids during the same time frame (1880's).

I can also check with the local library for the obit on microfilm in the genealogy dept. and then transcribe what it says and email it to you if that's ok, or I could go to the local genealogical society and get a hard copy print out of the obit. Let me know if there is more than one person's obit or grave you would like looked up. I check my email daily at the library so will look for your response tomorrow. The same David Crockett age 60 (Scotland) appears in the 1860 Rockvale census and 1870 along with the 1880- so it has to be a different Davy But at least you are not going crazy! If my memory serves me correctly, that in a Ogle County census, I saw the name of Davy Crockett enumerated. Further, if I didn't dream it, the name appeared in the Rockvale Twp. census. Some time later, in an Ogle County newspaper, I was reading the results of an election. The editor said something like this; "Someone wrote in Davy Crockett's name and we know he is dead." That Davy Crockett died in 1836, but I am wondering if I really saw the name of Davy C. in the census. Does anyone know if the name appeared in the census, and is anyone aware of what happened to the Ogle census Davy Crockett. I am not interested in the Crockett genealogy.
