(Colditz) Camling* Leonard and William are brothers. Both served in the Civil War out of Wisconsin. Both were married in Wisconsin. They both had children born in Wisconsin before Leonard moved to Michigan and William moved to Illinois. Leonard had 13 children and William had 7. Leonard and William were born in Holland and came over to USA with their father, stepmother and sister, in December 1847. The name Camling that they both used is not their birth names. The family name was changed from Kamerling to Camling when they both enlisted in the Civil War. They are related to the Kamerlings in Wisconsin. They are not related to the genuine Camling Surname. I could use anyone assistance with this.

The Monroe Township group is not the one to contact because that's a different township. Lynnville Township is where the cemetery resides. I am familiar with the cemetery and live in the community. It is true there isn't a phone number to call. There is a book listing the plots and the owners. I could also do a walk through if you're looking for a particular stone. If you know where Rt 64 is and the town of Kings which is about 3-4 miles west of of 251, look for Church road which is about 1 mile west of Kings (west of the RR tracks that cross 64) Church is a cross street and just to the west of DeKalb (john deere) Implements, Head north on Church a mile or so and the cemetery is on the NW corner of Church and Mowers. If you haven't already, try and pick up the Free Ogle Co Map at some businesses, city halls etc. It will show little crosses on the map that indicate cemeteries throughout the county. White Rock will seem small but with 1500 burials you may walk a lot to find them! Laurie

They have many old papers starting in 1864.
