Just wanted to let you know I am slowly working on getting Lawnridge Cemetery recorded and on line. Right now I have over 1200 photos for Lawnridge at the link below. http://illinoisgravestones.org/ There are about 1300 Ogle Cemetery photos on line at this site. So check it out. Lawnridge is a very large cemetery, perhaps the largest in Ogle. There are over 7000 burials and it is divided into 3 sections, A, B and C. I have been working on Section A the oldest and still have only 1/2 done. I was hoping to finish A this fall, but it may have to wait due to some health issues. I do have the old index from 1980 so if someone needs a look up of older burials I can do that. Please search the gravestone project above also. If you live in or near Ogle and would like to walk and update the cemetery we would be thrilled to have to you help. It is easy and fun, but can be time consuming depending on the size of the cemetery, see this http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilogle/CemeteryProject.htm for more information. I'm trying to contact Tom and Louise Bemis as the address I have has bounced. If they are on this list, please contact me, or if anyone knows their address, please write to me off-list direct. I noticed you were researching Siebert. I am too My rebecca Haugh married John Seibert while they were sstill living in PA and then they came to Maryland Twp., Ogle Co. by the time of the 1880 census. I can track their boys for one generation but I would like more information on their daughters Sarah and Agnis and all their children. I'm guessing I'm doing the right thing by changing the address of the Ogle Co. Mail list on my address list and now I'm trying it out with a question. Does anyone know what happened to Caroline Drumheller's family in the later 1800's. She had a dozen children and in the next census she is a widow and only a few children left. My Surnames Are: Reed, Sanford and Benedict but have many odds and ends of names. Anyone connected with the Reeds and Sanfords we ware researching but my direct connection is: Norman Reed, son of Simon Reed (son of Samuel Reed and Mary Benedict) and Currance Sanford (daughter of Cyrenius Sanford and Anna (anner) Hubbell). Norman Reed married Ada Martin and my great grandmother, Candas Smith. I have been researching my ancesters in the Pope/Boppe and Osbaugh families. Rebecca The Stephenson Co., IL list has been doing a roll call posting the names of families you are interested in. How about doing this on the Ogle list? It's also a good way to test the new system. Thanks. Roger Roger Cramer List Administrator rogercubs@aol.com Visit the Ogle Co.
