Hi Darlene, My Siberts came from Ohio and settled in Stephenson County, moved to Iowa for many years - like 20 or more, then moved back to Stephenson County. My one aunt insists the name was Seibert, but in all the censuses, and even on their headstones, it is spelled Sibert. So I don't think they were related to the different Seiberts here in Ogle County. Thank you for contacting me and the best of luck on your research. smiles, susie

Could someone who is not too busy explain what this "new roll call" is about and how I can use it. Sure, the "roll call" is simply a wat to get the names you are researching posted on the list so others who may also be looking for those names can get in touch with you. I subscribe to quite a few lists and often make contact with others who can help. That's really what the list is all about. "Roll Call" is the term used by many lists for subscribers to post their surnames of interest. Hi Karen, I know that Rochelle Library has a Tilton Family book there in their reference section. It may help you with some things, or give you an idea of who did research etc. I usually would offer to look that up at the library but will be out of commission for a good month or more. If you are not local, you could write them sending a SASE and perhaps a few dollars with what you are looking for and I am sure they would look in the book-- it is just a thought. Glad someone answered your question, when I asked what the surname roll call was, no one answered! The digest thing is this, some people get some of their email on digest, or in other words, they get all of the emails in one big email, each person should be able to control the way they get their email. Problem is, when they hit reply with a message of their own, the clump of emails are also sent along too, so it means that many of the messages are repeated over. Same goes with reply, it would be really nice, that when some replies, you delete the original message which would appear at the bottom of your email, like I did here. Karen
