I'm researching Taylor, Kyker, Ruble, McKee, Wragg, Glover, Kump, Travis, Rowe, Castle, Garrison, Ross, Hedgecock-and Welty My Welty's came to Ogle Co in the 1950's, and I'm not related to the early ones. Brian Hulleberg and I are related. My grandparents William and Clara Ruble Taylor were born in Washington Co, TN, but were married in Ogle Co in 1906. The names I've listed are their siblings who also migrated from TN to Ogle Co about the same time. Roger, thanks for the McKee info. If you read the history of your families origin you would know that the mother colony for the Ostfriesens was in Stephenson Co. and a lot of them were in Ogle Co. When this area got over populated they moved south in Illinois and then on to IA and MN and places west. My line connects to this line. My Meyer line made it as far as yours, Rockford.     3. I have a Murray Ward Morris b. 1857 in PA and buried in CA. I also have a Henry Ward Morris b. 1883 and buried in Riverview Cemetery, Oregon Twp, IL. It is possible that Murray Ward Morris might have lived for a time in Ogle County, IL somewhere around 1880. Does anyone have a connection with that middle name of Ward? Or any other connection between these two? John

They had three children, the last of which was born in the same month she married the widowed James Hoar of Ireland who had a son of his own, an epileptic. Together they had a son and a daughter. The daughter, Ellen, married George Emil Colson, son of Augustus Colson and Christine Anderson/Johnson from Sweden. The Himert and Campbell connections come through the descendants James Connor, son of Ellen Lynch and her first husband. -kathleen

    3. Joy, my Beck's came from PA. Johann George Beck, born 1738 In PA or Germany, Married Catharina Wolf June 14 1763. His Son Johann George Beck born Feb 11,1767 in Lancaster Pa, married Catherine Brenner born Nov 1777, married May 2 1797. Their son Gerhardt was born May 20, 1810 in Greencastle, Franklin Co. PA. He is the one who moved to IL. with his son William Henry and his children in the late 1860's. That's how they came to IL. William Henry had a large family. My grandmother was his daughter Lydia Belle Beck Huff. I have a lot of info on both the Beck's & Huff's. I have never connected some of the Beck's in IL. There is a William Beck that lived in Polo IL Ogle Co.. I think they are related but don't know how. I know that some of our Beck family moved to Seneca Ohio & Cedar Rapids IA. But a lot of them stayed in IL.     3. I'm not a Jones, but wanted to chime in with the role call. I'm a descendant of John Edward funk and Anna Lee Barber so also count the Kuntzelmans, Kretsingers, and other families as relation.
