My G.G.G grandfather was Clarence C Bennett who came to Lane/Rochelle about 1855, opened a drug store and married Louisa Fulton. Their children were William A, Frank B, Clarence W, H B, Ida R and Clarence Bennett who married Bertha Paulina Krusemark. I am looking for information on Halsey J. COOK and Lydia CLARK. Halsey Cook moved to Ogle Co. from NY about 1840. He married Lydia Clark in 1842 and had several children, including a daughter, Sarah and a son Halsey J. Cook, Jr. Lydia Clark Cook died in 1862 and he later married Mrs. Emily JEWELL. Halsey Cook and family lived in Ogle County from about 1840 to 1871. I believe they lived in or near Rochelle. Lydia CLARK COOK is buried in Ogle County and Halsey J. COOK was returned to Ogle County for buriel in Ogle Co. in January or February 1898. Any one have any connections to this family or any information, please let me know. Will share what I have.
