They had 11 children, one being my grandfather Victor William Chugg (b 18 Aug 1925 d 4 June 2002). It seems the Louisa I am searching for has appeared out of thin air, so I am chasing every avenue I can. If you can offer any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. If not, thank you anyway! 3. Here's a little more: Abner Bond was in the New Jersey militia and State Troops during the Revolutionary War. Emily Light had a daughter, also named Emily, who married John Thompson Ray(they are my husband's grandparents). Emily the younger joined the DAR and references to Abner's service can be found in her online DAR records. I can write more about this later when I am at home and have my notes. I don't know if you're interested in the Rea/Ray connection, but I have lots of information on that as well. Ezra fought in the Blackhawk Indian Wars. I have more information about that and will post it when I get to my notes. Mr. Zellers, may I ask where you got your information about Ezra's birth and emigration, and so forth? I have been looking for so many months and have not been able to turn up information about that. I'm so glad to have these new details. 1. [ILOGLE] German Newspaper "Ostfriesische Nachrichten"
2. Boyken & Boyken Partners
3. Dear Listmembers, The old German newspaper "Ostfriesische Nachrichten" was published by Pastor L. Hündling [Huendling} in 1882 in Iowa as a connecting paper between the people in the new American settlements and die old homeland with news and events in Ostfriesland and the "New World". Later you could find this newspaper all over the U.S. and Ostfriesland. For the period between 1882 and 1915 the issues were microfilmed around 20 - 30 years ago. According to a descendant of Pastor Huendling about 10 years ago, most of the issues between 1916 and 1971 got lost on the way to a processing center to be microfilmed. Besides Rev. Kenneth DeWall and others, who published in the past some indexes of (only) obituaries, we started in 1997 reading each newspaper for 1882 - 1915 and 1916 - 1971 (single issues) from the front to the back and taking all of the personal data in obituaries and local news into computer files. We added also interesting stories about the events in the New World - especially for the German readers -. So far we have listed 10,300 names of deceased between 1882 and 1915 plus 12,300 names of relatives, and until 1971 only 2,000 deceased / 5,000 relatives. Now we are looking for issues of this newspaper between 1916 and 1971. The undersigned would appreciate your answer if you have access to those issues. Thank you very much in advance for your help in preserving the data. Sincerely, Hans-Georg Boyken Ostfriesland-Society of Iowa, Inc.

2. hi, i own the copyright on the web page that you just ILLEGALLY copied word for word and posted on this list and you did not properly list the sources of information. If you'll take the time to read the webpage you'll find various other sources and you'll also find that you are not allowed to copy more than a few place names for private research. You have violated my rights as a US citizen to copyright an original work of research and i do NOT appreciate it. Thousands of MY man hours have gone into writing over a dozen such research books and the copyright is to prevent large corporations from stealing my work and enforcing their own copyright. Please stop doing this immediately. At this time i am requesting that this list OGLE Co list administrator delete your posting and this one from the Rootsweb archives as i do NOT wish to lose any of my rights for a copyright to any large corporation that goobles up other's work and places their copyright on it and charge for using it. thanx dennis in re: > Date: Sun, 24 Aug 2003 23:31:25 EDT > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [ILOGLE] Every Town and Township in Ogle Co. > A list of every town and township that ever existed in Ogle County: > > > The source of information is Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, > Family History Library Microfiche #6051287 "Illinois Gazetteer" from > Illinois > Place Names by James N Adams, published by Illinois State Historical > Society, > Springfield, IL, 1968. > > Ogle County, named for Lieutenant Joseph Ogle; established 16 Jan 1836 > (45,957) > > last updated 03 Nov 01 > > Adeline, > Baileyville, > Barclay, > Beacon, > Black Walnut, > Bloomingdale, > Bloomingville, > Boonsboro, > Brawdie's Grove, > Brodie's Grove, > Brooklyn Twp. > Brookville, > Brookville Twp. > Buffalo, > Buffalo Grove, > Buffalo Twp. > Byron, > Byron Twp. > Campbell's Grove, > Campus, > Canada Settlement, > Carter, > Carthage, > Chana, > Cherry Grove, > Crane's Grove, > Creston, > Davis Junction, > Daysville, > Dement, > Dement Station, > Dement Twp. > Devil's Backbone, > Eagle, > Eagle Point, > Eagle Point Twp. > Eagle Twp. > Earling, > Egan, > Egan City, > Elkhorn City, > Elk Horn Grove, > Elkhorn Grove, > Elliott, > Fairview, > Fitz Henry, > Flag, > Flagg, > Flagg Center, > Flagg Twp. > Flag Station, > Florence, > Foreston, > Forreston, > Forreston Twp. > Fountaindale, > Ganymede Spring, > Gees' Grove, > Grand Detour, > Grand Detour Twp. > Haldane, > Haldane Twp. > Hale, > Harper, > Harrison, > Harrison Twp. > Hazelhurst, > Hickory Grove, > Hillcrest, > Holcomb, > Honey Creek, > Hyde Park, > Jefferson, > Jefferson Grove, > Juniata City, > Kellogg's Grove, > Killbuck, > Killbucks, > King, > Kings, > Kyte River, > Lafayette Grove, > Lafayette Twp. > Lane, > Lane Depot, > Leaf River, > Leaf River Twp. > Lee, > Liberty Hill, > Light House, > Lighthouse, > Lightsville, > Lincoln Twp. > Lindenwood, > Loblolly Grove, > Loose Pulley Junction, see Rootsweb Town Search > http://resources.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/townco.cgi > Luda, > Lynnville, > Lynnville Twp. > Marion Twp. > Maryland, > Maryland Twp. > McKenney's Island, > Midway Villa, > Monroe, > Monroe Center, > Monroe Centre, > Monroe Twp. > Mount Morris, > Mount Morris Twp. > Myrtle, > Nanusha, > Nashua, > Nashua Twp. > North Forreston, > North Grove, > Ogle, > Old Town, > Oregon, > Oregon City, > Oregon Twp. > Paine's Depot, see US Post Offices in 1859/60 > Paine's Point, see US Post Offices in 1859/60 > Paines Point, > Paynes Point, > Perry's Grove, > Pine Creek, > Pine Creek Twp. > Pine Rock, > Pine Rock Twp. > Polo, > Pulpit Rock, > Rochelle, > Rock River Terrace, > Rock Spring, > Rockvale, > Rockvale Twp. > Royce, > Saint Marion, > Saint Mary's, > Scott Twp. > Skunk Town, > Spoor Island, > Squaw Hill, > Stillman, > Stillman Valley, > Story, > Stratford, > Sugar Loaf, > Tannar, > Taylor, > Taylors, see US Post Offices in 1859/60 > Taylor Twp. > US Post Offices in 1859/60: Adeline, Barclay, Brookville, Byron, Daysville, > Dement Station, Eagle Point, Fitz Henry, Foreston, Grand Detour, Haldane, > Hale, > Killbuck, Kyte River, Lane Depot, Lindenwood, Lee, Luda, Monroe Centre, > Mount > Morris, Ogle, Oregon, Paine's Depot, Paine's Point, Pine Creek, Polo, > Taylors, Wales, White Rock, Woosung > Vanland, see Rootsweb Town Search > http://resources.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/townco.cgi > Wales, > Washington Grove, > Watertown, > West Branch, > West Forreston, > West Grove, > White Oak Grove, > White Rock, > Whiterock, > White Rock Center, > White Rock Twp. > Woosung > > Roger Cramer > Peoria, Arizona > Roger & Sue Cramer's > Genealogy Site > http://members.aol.com/rogercubs/index.html > Ogle Co., IL Genealogy Site > http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilogle/ > >
