Does anyone have any knowledge of any Mammenga's from Ostfriesland coming through. My g grandfather Jelte Mammenga and his wife Siever migrated from Ost. to ? to Ilinois and then on to Minnesota. His father Thees would have been with them. It would have been 1880-1885 time frame. I have a few bits and pieces but the documenting on the specific places is vague. I am not sure where they entered-thinking NY-then they show up in Milford. Marriage in Milford, Iroquois Cty, Ill. Lutheran Gospel Church-anyone heard of it. AshGrove Twp.I know Ogle is in a different area but have notation of some Mammengas being buried in the area - got copies and was hoping someone may know something about my ggrandfather. Mickey
