In the list of Minor Heirs-At-Law abstracted from Guardian's Bonds Book I 1851-1857, the three children of Leartis W. Cox (not McGinn) i.e. Harriet Cox b. Oct 23, 1840, Augustus Cox b. Dec 19, 1842, and Nero Cox b. May 13 1847, are listed as heirs of Brunett MAGILL. I have been unable to find the name Brunett elsewhere. Can anyone tell me if this person is male or female? Is the name spelled correctly? In the Administrator's Fee Book 1837-1849, Joseph MORTON is listed as the guardian of a "Bennett" MAGILL on May 27, 1847. Is this person possibly the same as "Brunett"? I would also like to know the relationship of Brunett to the three children. Can anyone suggest any records that might help identify this relationship?
