They lived in Concord area of Morgan County, IL from about 1836 to about 1860. Descendants of James Wilson Generation No. 1 1. JAMES2 WILSON (THOMAS1) was born Abt. 1780 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and died Abt. 1860 in Illinois. He married MARY EMORY. Notes for James Wilson: James Wilson may be related to James Wilson, one of the signers of The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. James Wilson later became an associate judge of the first Supreme Court of the United States. Children of JAMES WILSON and MARY EMORY are: i. FRANCES3 WILSON, m. (1) OBADIAH DILLEP; m. (2) PETER PENCE. ii. ELIZABETH WILSON, b. Bet. 1800 - 1850; m. WILLIAM CLARK. iii. JOHN WILSON, b. Bet. 1800 - 1850. Notes for JOHN WILSON: John Wilson was a Realtor in Scioto Co., OH. Affidavits, titled: "1871 affidavits of John Antil and John Wilson," Affidavits made before the Probate Court of Scioto County, Ohio, based on the two men's memories of the Wilson and Pegg families in connection with the lineal descent from Daniel Pegg (I) of Philidelphia.). SARAH JANE WILSON, b. Bet. 1800 - 1850; m. DANIEL W. COLLIES, 13 January 1852, Morgan County, Illinois. Notes for SARAH JANE WILSON: The 1871 affidavit states that Sarah was alive that year in Minnesota. Notes for DANIEL W. COLLIES: Daniel Collis Joined up with John Brown in Osawatomie, Kansas and was with him on his famous crusades to liberate the slaves. Near the Collis home in Osawatomie a battle was fought, during which several of Brown's men were killed and many wounded including Daniel Collis, he carried a Mini ball in his back for the rest of his life. 3. vii. Notes for MARY WILSON: The 1871 affidavit states that Mary was alive in Cass County, Illinois in that year. Children of MARY WILSON and THOMAS STANLEY are: i. JOHN4 STANLEY, b. DANIEL PEGG3 WILSON (JAMES2, THOMAS1), was born May 1804 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and died 14 November 1890 in Pacific County, Washington. He married ROSANNA HOUGH MOUL 31 May 1827 in Belmont County, Ohio. Notes for DANIEL PEGG WILSON: The Wilson family may have lived in Belmont and Licking County, Ohio. The family in 1836 migrated to Illinois taking up a farm near Springfield. Daniel Pegg Wilson, in about 1840 moved his immediate family to near Murphysboro, Illinois. Daniel's family moved again in about 1850, to the Concord Township of Morgan County, Illinois. In April of 1852, Daniel Pegg Wilson led his family by wagon train to Oregon. Notes for ROSANNA HOUGH MOUL: According to the 31May 1827 Belmont County, Ohio marriage records, Rosanna, at the time of her marriage to Daniel Pegg Wilson, was under the guardianship of John Ethel. A John Ethell was born 15 March 1782 in Fauquier County, Virginia, his father was Anthony Ethell and mother was Sarah. William Ethell, John Ethell's brother died in Morgan county, Illinois. (Descendants of Anthony Ethell, by Leona Ethell Kastner). Rosanna may be buried in the MORRIS CHAPEL CEMETERY aka SMITH aka MT. VERNON. NW1/4, Section 16, T16N-R11W-3PM, Concord Township of Morgan County, Illinois.. The cemetery is located 1.2 miles east of Brown's Crossroads, which is also the site of Triopia High School. The high school is located about two miles north of Concord. From Triopia High School drive east on State Aid Road 19 (also known as Road 2150N) for 1.2 miles until you arrive at the intersection with Road 1325E. The cemetery is located in the trees and brush about 100 feet north of this intersection. If the crops and brush are so tall that tombstones can't be seen, evergreen trees in the cemetery serve as sentinels marking the area. The tombstone inscription reads: "WILSON, Susannah F. - Died 24 Feb 1850-- Age 36 Yr 9 Mo 29 Da--Wife of D. Wilson" It is probable that the name "Susannah" was misinterpreted on the old tombstone and should be "Rosannah" Wilson. The Morgan County, Illinois 1850 Mortality Schedule has a Rosanna Wilson who died February 1850 of cancer. Children of DANIEL WILSON and ROSANNA MOUL are: 5. i. JOHN EMORY WILSON, b. 20 November 1836, Illinois; d. 25 November 1843, Morgan County, Illinois. Notes for JOHN EMORY WILSON: John Emory Wilson died of either Scarlet Fever or Smallpox. He is buried in the "Angle" Cemetery located between the towns of Concord and Arcadia, Morgan County, Illinois. This is an abandoned rural cemetery midway between Concord and Arcadia. It is located in the extreme northwest corner of Section 23 in Township 16 N Range 11 W. On page 121 of "Atlas Map of Morgan County, Illinois, 1872" the burial site is marked by a cemetery symbol. When "Plat Book of Morgan County, Illinois, 1894" was published the cemetery's site was not indicated. Angel Cemetery is slightly less than a mile northwest of abandoned Smith Cemetery, also located in Section 23. 8. v. DAVID BOOTH3 WILSON (JAMES2, THOMAS1) was born 11 December 1816 in Belmont County, Ohio. He married SUSANNAH FLETCHER 9 September 1838 in Morgon County, Illinois. Notes for DAVID BOOTH WILSON: The affidavit written in 1871, states that he was living in Kansas in 1871. The 1870 census shows him there also. Children of DAVID WILSON and SUSANNAH FLETCHER are: i.
