Ayers was born in Springfield, New jersey about 1815 and came to Morgan County abt 1845-49 with his wife, Cathrine Martin Shreve, and five children; Benjamin, Theeophilus, William C.P., Elizabeth and Charles. In Jacksonville, they also had Mary ,Jacob, Sarah, Lydia and Franklin ( 1850 census )The Shreve family is well documented and we have been able to trace it back to colonial New Jersey but, we have had no luck at all with the ancesters of Dan. W. Can anyone help us to extend our knowledge or correct any of that above. Thanks, WLR
