IL Query Page Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Morgan?read=247 Surname: Smith ------------------------- Looking for any information on a Dr. Abalard Temple Smith, inscription on his grave stone, located in Pike County, say's he came to Meredosia, Morgan County, from Kentucky, in 1833, lived in Meredosia till 1836 when he and family, including wife, Lucy Ann Watkins Smith and children removed to Pike County. He was a medical man as well as a teacher. He died in Pike County in 1846. His name could be spelled Abelard/Abilard or Abalard.
