    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: RAUSE / RAUSEN / RAUSCH / ROUSE, REYNOLDS, FAULKNER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ih.2ADE/1182 Message Board Post: Seeking info on train wrecks circa 1870's. My great-great grandfather died in one in St. Louis while traveling the country with his stable of racing horses. His only child, Claudius Paul, born 6 August 1874 in East St. Louis, was adopted by his stepfather, Thomas FAULKNER, circa late 1870's or early 1880's and his biological father's first and surnames were lost to history! GGGrandfather's wife was Lucinda Isabelle "Lulu Belle" REYNOLDS, born August 1854 in Morgan Co., IL. She married Thomas in Sangamon Co., IL. in 1878. The family of 3 later moved to North Platte, Lincoln Co., NE. and remained there up to the time of their deaths. Biological GGGF may have been Irish, of a New York banking family, with the possible surname of RAUSE / RAUSEN / RAUSCH / ROUSE, etc. ANY comments or suggestions would be HUGELY appreciated! Thank you very much, Karen from Louisiana
