I found an Ebenezer Rice in the 1850 census in Scott County, Illinois. He is age 66, his wife Catherine is age 60. Also listed are Nancy A., age 21 and Joseph T. age 15. Ebenezer was born in Massachusetts, Catherine in North Carolina. I don't know if this is your Ebenezer or not. I am descended from the Rices of Rhode Island.
