Saturday, June 10 from 9-3 the Sangamon County Genealogical Society will hold its annual White Elephant/Book Sale in conjunction with an Open House. There will be hardbound & paperback books, Society Publications, misc. office supplies, other society publications and research forms for sale. Assistance on genealogical questions pertaining to Sangamon County and Illinois will be available throughout the day. We will have Sangamon County vital records available for viewing as follows: Marriages from 1821 to 1899; Births from 1877 to 1884; Deaths from 1878 to 1940s; deed records from 1822 to 1835; 1830, 1840,1850, 1855, 1860, 1865, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 census film for Sangamon County only and issues of the Auburn Citizen from 1874 to 1965. Help promote genealogy by bringing friends and neighbors along to see the great selection of materials available in Sangamon County.
