From the 1850 census in Marion Co., IA, he was born about 1810 in VA, and he must have had two children from a previous marriage, Hiram born c 1838 in KY and Amanda born c 1840 in IL. It would be nice if this was a lead to where Wm. and Eliza Jane went after 1850. Where did your Johnsons come from and go to?
