My family first appears in IL with the marriage Andrew J. Read to Susan Frances Williams from Scott Co. They lived in Morgan Co. and had 10 children including John Anderson Reed born 1863; also Delilah Ann and Martha Jane who married Hembrough boys; and William Andrew who married Bess McKean. Andrew J. Reed/Read later married Kate (Moore) Fyffe in 1886 and had one last son, Lester Andrew Reed. Somewhere in those years the name changed from Read to Reed. Have you come across any of these names?
