If you have not been to the 1900 US Census, it might help. You can find it at Heritage Quest on the internet. It is a fee for service site. BUT, here in Denver, I access it from home for free via the Denver Public Library. Your local library may offer you similar free access or may even have the census on microfilm as Denver's does. gbyork -- tmwjr13@yahoo.com wrote: Return-Path: <ILMORGAN-L-request@rootsweb.com> Received: from mx07.nyc.untd.com (mx07.nyc.untd.com [10.140.24.67]) by maildeliver22.lax.untd.com with SMTP id AABAMQV2KA7UQ6XJ for <geobardsley@juno.com> (sender <ILMORGAN-L-request@rootsweb.com>); Fri, 28 May 2004 07:39:06 -0700 (PDT) Received: from lists5.rootsweb.com (lists5.rootsweb.com [66.43.18.41]) by mx07.nyc.untd.com with SMTP id AABAMQV2KAKH7HWA (sender <ILMORGAN-L-request@rootsweb.com>); Fri, 28 May 2004 07:39:05 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from slist@localhost) by lists5.rootsweb.com (8.12.8/8.12.8) id i4SEZ9aG012444; Fri, 28 May 2004 08:35:09 -0600 Resent-Date: Fri, 28 May 2004 08:35:09 -0600 X-Original-Sender: tmwjr13@yahoo.com Fri May 28 08:35:08 2004 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: tmwjr13@yahoo.com Old-To: ILMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com Sender: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <MFMBM0299qkxCBmzBfJ00000b4c@mfmbm029.myfamilycorp.local> X-OriginalArrivalTime: 28 May 2004 14:07:13.0317 (UTC) FILETIME=[13199D50:01C444BD] Date: 28 May 2004 08:07:13 -0600 X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.38 Resent-Message-ID: <tb-EyB.A.PCD.d40tAB@lists5.rootsweb.com> To: ILMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com Resent-From: ILMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com Reply-To: ILMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com X-Mailing-List: <ILMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com> archive/latest/4159 X-Loop: ILMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com Precedence: list Resent-Sender: ILMORGAN-L-request@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILMORGAN] Thomas H Curtis & Sarah Elliott, need 1900 census lookup X-ContentStamp: 3:4:2409447480 X-MAIL-INFO:57a9b4512dd1ed40300131ed401199c41d6d193815253ded38151039217d01555dad7901b54d390111bd250d7025059dd94484a5e950a184a5d029f54d003d81999100cd61290010f0e98d40e9b0e5e4c95175317d595175d465fd2494946d755079511d357d40f4d121215d35b4051d41454d9d217d5538b530898564b5259d395d71e57460144449f959f9f9b0a96149502424c93da1f5e5d50d24cde584f1f4d194d1d154ed40f4dd5d5dfd55192119193019745511853940752d24a435d050949d35d44099fdd1b95430ddb5a584d58484818491a5cd64 This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Curtis, Elliott Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Ih.2ADE/1197 Message Board Post: Thomas Henry Curtis b 1854 England, immigrated to Jacksonville, Morgan Co IL in 1870's; m Sarah A Elliott 3 Jul 1877 in Morgan Co. In 1880 they are living with her parents Charles & Celia Elliott in Jacksonville with a daughter Gertrude b 1879. Family information says they also had a daughter Myrtle and a son, name unknown. In 1920 Thomas is living in Sutter Co CA with second wife - they are buried there. His parents Henry & Elizabeth Smith Curtis joined him after 1881. I believe they are the Henry & Elizabeth Curtis buried in Jacksonville East Ccemetery - they both died in Hannibal MO in 1903 and obits say they were returned to Jacksonville for burial. Is there any way to confirm this? What happened to Sarah - did she die in Jacksonville? If someone could please look up Thomas & Sarah in 1900 it might give me names for their children. Also if Henry & Elizabeth Curtis are in Jacksonville in 1900, it might give me a clue as to what happened to his sister Elizabeth b 1851 Engl! and. Family says she died 25 Aug 1929 but I don't know her married name or if she even married. Any help on tracing this family appreciated. ==== ILMORGAN Mailing List ==== Come search our Morgan County ILGenWeb Pages!
