Hello, I am sending this question to all of the lists I belong to because it may be a question others have as well as me (I hope!) Marian Dietrich from the OH Hamilton Rootsweb List kindly sent me information on a John WATSON who possibly is mine. Here's what she says: "In a listing of letters held at the Cincinnati Postoffice on April 2, 1816 is the name John Watson. There was a notation that 'few postoffices existed around Hamilton Co. in 1816. Letters were addressed 'Cincinnati' and every 3 months the postmaster published lists of persons for whom he was holding mail." My question is what happens to all of the unclaimed letters?
