Bourland died in Jacksonville Wednesday morning at 11:15 o'clock. He was an old and very highly respected citizen and died after a long illness. Mr. Bourland was born August 31, 1827, and at the time of his death was 82 years, 5 months and 12 days of age. He was preceded in death by his wife ten years ago, and since that time his health has not been the best, and about two years ago he was taken to Jacksonville, where he took treatment until his death. He is survived by one son and five daughters, George and Ella living on the old home. Mrs. Fred Seymour and Mrs. Ed Jones both living in Waverly, Mrs. Jake Goacher of St. Louis and Mrs. Geo. Austiff living southwest of Waverly, and a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held today (Friday) from the M.E. church in this city, at 2 o'clock p.m., and interment will be made in East cemetery.
