Hello All, Looking for any information on Lewis/Louis BANEY who married Fannie E. SHERRILL (daughter of Baylor and Judith Sherrill) on 4-28-1869 in Sangamon County, Illinois. Lewis and Fannie are buried in Bethany Cemetery, Christian Co., Illinois. Their 3 children were: Harry (b. 1870), Lulu/a? (b. 1872), and Walter S (b. 1879). Lewis' Aunt and Uncle were Henry Herman BÖHNE (died 1847 in Cass County, Il.) and Selina BEARD BÖHNE CRAWFORD. Selina's son, Alfred Herman BöHNE, fought in the Civil War.
