My son's great-great-grandparents, Thomas Cody and Johanna Morrissey, were married in 1871 in Morgan County and lived for many years in adjoining Sangamon County. Johanna is believed to have had a brother, Patrick Morrissey who was born in Ireland on 1 February 1848, came to the US in 1863-65 and later lived in Jacksonville, Morgan County in 1878 to ????
