Pechloeffel of Jacksonville (Morgan Co.) IL It has autographs beginning Feb. 10, 1880, and the last entry is Aug. 2, 1882. Her age was from about 12/13 to about 14/15. The people who signed the book with their full names were: her brother Frank Pechloeffel, her sister, Mary Pechloeffel, and cousin Oscar (no last name). Also friends, Hattie Lambert, Mary McDonnell, Fanny H. Scott, Birdie Clark, Charlie Reid, Fannie M. Stringam, Ruby Sharpe, Lilly M. Hockney, J. McDonnell, William A. Livingston, Ollie E. Crum and Ella M. Warner. I would LOVE to get this wonderful album back in the hands of the Pechloeffel family members. BUT ... I did some research in census records, and found that Clara was single at age 62, in 1930, living with her sister Mary, also single. In 1880 and 1920, the name is PecHloeffel, but in 1930, it is spelled PecKloeffel. Since Clara apparently had no children, there would be no direct descendant to claim this album. Would anyone know of any living Pechloeffel family members who would like to have it? Or even anyone descended from some of the people who signed the book - at least there are original signatures, still in excellent condition. Please email me at margerice@prodigy.net.
