Sharon and Judy, I have a Davis line in Montgomery county that is a brick wall for me. I have even done some research on at least 3 different Davis lines in Montgomery county an attempt to eliminate them as having a connection to my Davis line. Would you please send me a brief outline of your Davis connection in Montgomery county and where they came from? My line is James Monroe Davis. I beleive that he is part of a Davis line that moved to Illinois from Tennessee about 1815. Thanks, Bob Drennan Judy Traylor wrote: > Sharon, Zion Cemetery is in South Audubon Township. Bob, Here's a breif outline of my Davis connection but I really don't have alot of info on them either, the line I need just seems to have vanished and the ones I can find, I can only locate partial info on. My husbands G-Grandmother was Effie Davis Sammons wife of Charles Sammons, daughter of John Israel Davis and Rebecca Ann E. Davis Morris (Rebecca Daivs was first married to Thomas Morris in 1856 and later in 1864 to John Davis). John was the son of Joseph Davis and Polley, the mother of Joseph was Elizabeth. This is about all I have right now. Sorry I don't have more on this line but I'm working on all lines on my husband's side and mine at once. Confusing at times!
