Hello list..again I wrote this wrong I have a death certificate of a family member who died in 1925 in Litchfield and the funeral home was R. V. Carroll and Sons. It says she was buried in Harvel, IL. Does anyone know of the funeral home today with that name or who might have the records? Does anyone know of a cemetery in Harvel, IL that old and if they have a index? Thanks again Dora
Harvel is near enough to Raymond that someone could have been buried at Raymond City Cemetery, St. Agnes Cemetery or Asbury Cemetery. In the 1951 phone book there was a Carroll Funeral Home listed on Main St. in Hillsboro. In 1945 it was not listed. In the cemetery index showing the cemeteries in Montgomery County there is "the Harvel Cemetery" listed as "1/2 miles south of town, in King Twp, Chrsitian Co." and says there are 457 graves in the cemetery. The historical society might have a listing.
