This was in a old scrapbook of newspaper clippings that was passed down to my grandmother, and now me. Most of the articles are dated in the late 1800's & are about people in or around the Donnellson area. A Double Header On last Monday night away down in Coffeen, two strange little babies appeared on the scene, two bright little stars in the firmament risen, and Jake Traylor says he is sure they are hisen. A boy and a girl both large, fat and fine, around Jacob's hearthstone hereafter will shine. Jake scanned the kids over to see how they were shaped, and anxiously asked if there were any escaped. And as he is our Superintendent of Schools, he has, it is said, contrary to rules, a first grade certificate given to each, he thinks even now they are able to teach. He was heard to remark with a proud, haughty air, "I had no idea I was drawing a pair. I will teach them, when grown, to tell always the truth, and the names of the kids shall be Grover and Ruth."
