To [email protected] For the MORRIS surname, who are you looking for? My GGG-grandparents are Miles & Mary Morris. Miles is from Simpson Cty, KY. Children from Miles 1rst wife Mary are Thomas, Benjamin, Patience, Sarah Elizabeth (my GG-grandmother); Benjamin Franklin "Frank" & Lucinda. They moved to Montgomery Cty around 1839. Children born between late 1830's-1850. They lived in Hillsboro although Miles received some land in Altom, IL from his service in the Mexican-American War. Mary died sometime before 1860 and Miles married his 2nd wife, Susan Hannah Scales. They were in Anderson County, KS by 1860. Children from this union are Amanda, Ella, Sherman. Miles & Susan Hannah moved to Cowlitz County, Kelso, Washington probably late 1880's (they are listed on 1880 KS census). Miles died there in 1890.
