    1. [ILMONTGO] Pioneer crossed "dark river" into Illinois
    2. In reading a 1902 Montgomery County obituary of my ancestor, it states that she crossed the dark river. She arrived in 1837 by oxcart from South Carolina. Does anyone know which river that could have been? Thanks! Polley Lawrence
