Tammy, I often find myself looking for obscure family history books as a professional genealogist. I have had fairly good success using interlibrary loan through my local public library. Sometimes I do a check for the book first on WORLDCAT through my nearby university library's website in order to get a list of libraries in the US that have that book, and then take this list to my librarian who handles interlib loans. There are also a couple of message boards on Rootsweb devoted to buyers and sellers of such books. I can't give you the exact link, but I have browsed these boards and see people posting that they are looking for a particular book and apparently book sellers monitor these boards and reply if they have one available. Good luck Juli Claussen Search & Genealogy Services ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tammy White" <tammyw@digitekpro.com> To: <ILMONTGO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 8:09 PM Subject: [ILMONTGO] Whitten and Allies Families Book > Any idea how to get copies of a book entitled "Whitten and Allies Families"? > (I believe this is the name of the book.)
