I suppose the only way to find out who Nancy Francis Whitten's parents are is to make a trip to the courthouse and look at the marriage records. As soon as I get a day in town I will check it out. The 1850 census was done in Oct...too late to see if she is part of the household. I don't find John Browing in the 1850 census. In 1880 Sharon Twp his is listed with his family. Nancy's parents were born in SC & KY, consistent with the birthplaces for Elisha and Sarah "Sally". Although this might well be the same as Austin Whitten and his wife Keziah Casey and others.
