This is in reply to Mimi's (wallyjakeandme@msn.com) posting to this list today titled "Hello." I am twice descended from both the HARRIS and LANDERS families. Furthermore, I also have a copy of the book "Goodnight Family in America", Fourth Edition - Part One of Volume II, by Lola BUTLER JONES, which includes a lot of additional LANDERS information. The LANDERSes in the Montgomery Co., IL, area are descended from Catherine GOODNIGHT LANDERS who came to America with her father's family, Oct. 1752, on the ship "Neptune." Incidentally, in case you are not already aware of it, President Harry S. TRUMAN was a direct descendant of Catherine's father Hans Michael GOODNIGHT and Hans Michael's second wife, Mary LANDERS, daughter of Christian/Christopher LANDERS/DANDIS/LANDYS.
