Wouldn't you know IRAD would be down when I wanted to recheck marriage info. I was able to look up James Kirk on the 1850 census and he is married to a Margaret. This Margaret is 40 years old making her born around 1810. This matches Margaret Whitten, not Margaret Renfro. Margaret Renfro was born in 1820 according to everything I can find. Children on the census were Sarah 6, John 5, Elizabeth 3, and Mary 2. There is also a Sinai Kirk age 18 in the household and I have no idea who she is. Lynne

Lynn probably Sinai Kirk is Siner Casey dau of Samuel Casey she would be 18 years old in 1850 and married in 1852 to Holloway Sears Prater. Census taker probably took her as a Kirk which would be explained James raised her from age 10 or 11. Margaret m. in 1843.
