My mother is working on the Covington family tree from Litchfield. One of the Cresses married a Covington. Our Covingtons are buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Here is the little of bit of info I got from her about the Cresses: The only Cress in our family from Chicago was Jesse & Frances Cress. They had a son and 2 daughters. I only rembember the one daughter's name, Eleanor Jane Cress. Jesse and Frances moved to Oak Park, IL and then to San Bernidino, Ca. They and the daughter died in Ca.
