Can anyone tell me who the owner of Ponto's Tavern on the corner in Witt was before Ponto owned it. Was the name Chervinko? My husband was getting his glasses adjusted in Wheaton, IL today and the mans name was Chervinko, he said his grandparents owed a Tavern on the corner in Witt. My husband who is 66 remembers the Tavern as being Ponto's from the time his Komar uncles took him there at about age 11.
