Made an error..... In my opening "HELLO" message, I meant to list one of the surnames I'm researching as, LANDERS, but there was a typo and it looks like, ANDERS. It's supposed to be, "LANDERS". Sorry about that... Mimi wallyjakeandme@msn.com The Alexander's Big Bear Lake, CA
Hello Montgomery Co., I'm new to this List and researching the following surnames. ANDERS, REAVIS, WRIGHT, HARRIS, OLIVER, STOVALL, JACKSON, and ALEXANDER. If anyone out there is researching these lines, I would love to hear from you. Sincerely, Mimi Alexander wallyjakeandme@msn.com The Alexander's Big Bear Lake, CA
http://www.library.uiuc.edu/techserv/inp/webpages/main.htm This is the main page for the Illinois Newspaper Project. They don't have actual copies of any papers online, but if you search their database, they'll tell you what libraries or historical societies have them archived. Searching for Hillsboro turned up 21 papers that have been published there at one point or another, Fillmore came up empty (local news usually reported in the Hillsboro papers), and Litchfield has 41 known newspapers published over time. There is the Hillsboro Journal and the Montgomery County News. The library in Hillsboro and Litchfield has both papers on microfilm. My info on the baby Minnie came from cousin, Betty Cearlock, who has done extensive research on the family. Need clarification regarding some individual facts with regard to the children of my ggg-grandfather, James Robert CEARLOCK (1851 - 1926). One of the subscribers to the CEARLOCK list sent me an e-mail saying the following: "I wanted to point out an error on Minnie that I didn't notice until I got your April 29, 2003 email 'Ancestors of Susan Elaine 'Sue' Cearlock'. ... List, While cleaning house, I found some pics from my 1999 trip to Scotland. Seems that while looking for relatives in a couple of Cemeteries, I took some special interest pictures of stones that are not related to my family. Guess I was thinking of other McCallum/Malcolm Clan memebers, as well as, some other names that I have associated with my family. Anyway, I will give some of the names with dates and if anyone is interested, I will look harder with my magnifiying glass for more information. Certainly, if someone wants to lay claim to any of them, I would be happy to mail them right along. Their are other names on these stones including children etc. Andrew Crawford, died 1905 and his wife Elizabeth Malcolm Kerr died 1907. John McCulloch, died 1905 at age 77 and his wife Janet Andrew died 1854 at age 25. Hugh McCulloch, died 1857 at age 78 and his wife Jane Bone? died 18?? at age 78. William John Malcomson died 1876, age 29 and his sister Mary Jane Allan died 1876 age 31 both siblings of Alexander Malcomson. Bridget...wife of William Malcomson....died 1876 age 50 years. Hugh McCulloch died 18?? age 38?? and his wife Elizabeth Cooper, died 1934 at age 82. John Malcolm died 1908 at 59 years and his wife Mary Blair Pringle died 1936 at 88. Lynne, Thanks so much for finding my Geo. H. CALDWELL in the Johnson Co., IL, 1920 census. That gives me a place to look now in the 1930 census. Now if I could just locate Claud... I appreciate all the info on Emma GOLDEN and family, as she was my father's grandmother. I am curious about you, Lynne, are you by chance related to any of this family? Or do you just have easy access to many records in Illinois? Thank you again so very much for all the info! Regina OWENS Rice

Hi, Can't help with Russell but here are a few things I found. Tree for Elvis on ancestry and rootsweb, includes Curtis but not Russell. Another tree with Curtis and same parents Other trees also By CARLINE HARP DOYLE carline3@earthlink.net
Does anyone know how to get obits. from the Obituary Daily Times and what is one's obligations and cost????? http://www.rootsweb.com/~obituary/ I would appreciate the help. Thanking you in advance. DC
I went to the site and what the site is and has is a listing of obits , you will not find the actual obit on the site, what they do is this. I type in Casey in their search engine and it fives you 5000 obits that have been listed with the name of Casey , last, maybe maiden will show up also then you see where the obit was published say Arthur Casey Paducah Sun which is the newspaper for Paducah KY and then you go to Paduch Sun website and see if they have obits online if not you can email and ask them for that particular obit. I think I have answered your question I hope.
