    2. Susan Tilleman
    3. Paul: A search of the USGS National Mapping Information site at the following URL brings up listings for five cemeteries named "Isbell," none of which are in Kentucky: http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form Based on our previous correspondence, I think the cemetery for which you are searching is located in Fayette Co., IL. According to my records, my direct ancestor Rachel LANDERS who m. George W. CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, Oct. 11, 1805, Warren Co., KY, died in 1847, Fayette Co., IL. Furthermore, my direct ancestors Jacob LANDERS and his wife Sarah (or Sally) JOHNSON who were married Nov. 25, 1808, Warren Co., KY, are buried in the Wright Cemetery, South Fillmore Township, Montgomery Co., IL. As per our previous correspondence, Rachel and Jacob LANDERS were siblings of your direct ancestor Henry LANDERS, Jr., whose daughter Michelle and son-in-law Thomas Jefferson TODD are reportedly buried in the Isbell Cemetery. As mentioned in my previous correspondence, one source says that Thomas Jefferson TODD was b. 1812, Warren Co., KY; m. Michelle LANDERS, Feb. 25, 1835, Montgomery Co., IL; d. June 25, 1899; and was bd. in the Isbell Cemetery, "Warren Co., KY." Also see the following site which mentions the surname TODD in relation to Isbell Cemetery, Bingham, Hurricane Township, Fayette Co., IL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilchrist/welcome.html Your cousin, Susan Cearlock Tilleman San Antonio, TX http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/t/i/l/Susan-E-Tilleman/?Welcome=1077293539 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Womack" <kitkat11@charter.net> To: <KYWARREN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 7:12 AM Subject: [KYWARREN] Cemetery > To the best of anyone's knowledge, is there a Isbell Cemetery anywhere in Warren Co. 1. [ILMONTGO] Scherer
    2. Elmer Thorn
    3. Does anyone have information on Rufus Scherer, brother of John J (Jack )Scherer? He was a son of Dr. Eli Scherer. According to what I have he would have been born abt 1841 to Dr. Eli and Lavina Cress Scherer. Does anyone have a burial info or obit on him? In the 1850 census there was a D.R. Scherer living with Jacob Cress Sr which if this info is correct, would be his Grandfather. So D.R. Scherer or Rufus I believe is the same person. Any help on this anyone? Thanks in advance and have a bright a sunny day. Et

    1. [ILMONTGO] Roberts & Browns
    2. Joyce & Ed Thomas
    3. Brenda & Linda, this is what little I have on my John Corwin Roberts who lived in Montgomery Co., IL Irving. .I don't know that much about my Browns in IL. There were 4 of the same generation that moved from Knox or Marion Co., TX three boys & one sister & her husband, Washington Fleming. With them they brought their Roberts cousins Mary, John Corwin, Nancy & Peter, all had become orphans in 1836 when their father John Roberts had died in Marion Co., TN. John Roberts had been b: in March 1791. I have his orphan bond to a Beriah Frazier.to learn reading, writing & cyphering. John had married Alice Brown in Knox Co., TN in 1813. Beriah Fraizer was his Bondsman.. She was the daughter of John & Alice Nodding Brown from MD I didn't know that so many of the Browns had come to Montgomery Co until a short time ago. What I need is info on them in Montgomery Co and where they moved...both Browns & Roberts. I've got some more info, but lets see if we make a match. Mary Roberts never married. There is some reason that she may have been "feeble minded".. Nancy Jane married Wilburn Isaac s/o Samuel Wilburn. & Peter married 1st, Tarquina Ann Newcomb. They lived in Nokomas After Tarquina died he married Lydia Christain. They had 6 children, all moved to TX when the family moved I think abt. 1890. He had 4 children with Tarquina...all died young. I would love to exchange info with you. Please write to me privately at ejthomas@i1.net Tiss Tiss

    1. [ILMONTGO] Eli Scherer
    2. Elmer Thorn
    3. I am wondering if Eli Sherer b 1833 , son of Dr Eli Scherer , is known later as Eli Cress. After his father died in 1849 he was living with Jacob Cress, his uncle. Later in the census 1870 and 1880 I wasn't able to find Eli Scherer but there was an Eli Cress born about the same year as Eli Scherer. I am wondering if Jacob Cress maybe adopted Eli. Anyone know? Et

    3. ET, I always like to have a general idea where someone lives, so I don't say something stupid like assuming that you live in the area that you're asking about. I was born in Litchfield and finished high school there, so I have some knowledge of what has gone on there. I've lived all my adult life, until about 7 years ago, in St. Louis. When in St. Louis, we frequently drive up for dinner at the "Gardens", a well known restaurant in Litchfield...known for their Iowa cut Pork Chops. If you ever get up there again, be sure to stop at the Gardens. It is a National landmark on the "Old 66" route. Tiss

    1. [ILMONTGO] Frank & Elizabeth Firle of Worden
    2. Mangold & Dittes
    3. I have been searching for some time now, trying to locate where my GG Grandparents are buried: Elizabeth Wenner Firle (1839 to abt 1875-1880) and Frank Firle (abt 1837 - April, 1899). The 1870 census shows them living in Omphgent Township where he was the blacksmith in Worden. The 1880 census shows only Frank and their children living in Omphgent Township. I have no knowledge of when Elizabeth died. Frank remarried in 1881 and, according to a notice in the Mt. Olive Herald, died in Walshville. If Frank and Elizabeth are buried together it may be somewhere in Omphgent Township. I have carefully searched through the first 9 volumes of the MCGS Cemetery Books and the only Firley I found was his son, buried in the Worden City Cemetery. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where and how I might continue searching for Frank and Elizabeth Firle? Many thanks for any help you can provide. Myra Dittes
